You're righteous because He is. Check this out. In the original Hebrew, God didn't say, "Let there be LIGHT..." He actually said, "Light BE" He's doing the same thing here... 1 Peter 1:16 says, "For it is written, You shall be holy, for I am holy." And as you know it's vitally important to go to the original manuscripts to see the original Word of God and know and understand the context of Greek... oh how I wish the Amplified version defined the text even more than it did... εἰμί ἅγιος ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμί ἅγιος Let's use deductive logic here. We need to understand that this is a CONCLUSION. What is the START of the thought which ends with Peter quoting Leviticus? HERE! 1 Peter 1:10 The prophets, who prophesied of the grace (divine blessing) which was intended for you, searched and inquired earnestly about this salvation. Interesting. Grace... Divine Blessing... Salvation... In essence when you were filled with the Holy Spirit, He said, "Holy be!" and, you became holy. In this session, I want you to listen closely as International Pastor Andrew Wommack of www.awmi.com breaks down some of the most important key points of prayer. Speaking forth the Word of God and standing on the Word is not just a good idea or a different way to pray, it's how you invoke the power of God into your situation. Listen to this what the Psalmist says in the 75th Psalm, "WE GIVE praise and thanks to You, O God, we praise and give thanks; Your wondrous works declare that Your Name is near and they who invoke Your Name rehearse Your wonders." Power Prayer e-Course: Session 1

In this session we go over what we will learn in the ensuing sessions of the Power Prayer e-Course, a Course that when completed, will leave you with the tools, motivation, resources, and ability to make manifest your hearts desires, conquer all obstacles, and partner with Almighty God to accomplish His Will for your life. Some of the things talked about in this first podcast are the differences between the New Covenant and the Old Covenant, Knowing vs Believing, Daniel's Covenant Prayer, and Lance Wallnau's Purpose Exercise. The Differences between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant * Old: God demanded righteousness from man. * New: God imparts righteousness to man through the finished work of Jesus * Old: The children of Israel were blessed only if they obeyed God's commandments perfectly - inwardly and outwardly. * New: Believers don't have to depend on their self-efforts to receive God's blessings, because Jesus fulfilled every one of the requirements of the law on their behalf. * Old: God will punish your sins and will punish your offspring to the third and forth generation for your sins. * New: God will be no means remember your sins. * Old: The children of Israel were cursed if they did not obey God's commandments perfectly. * New: Believers can enjoy God's blessings and undeserved favor because Christ became a curse for them on the cross. * Old: Depending on self-efforts produces behavior modification without heart transformation. * New: Beholding the loveliness of Jesus and His finished work brings about inner transformation, which produces good works that are motivated by God's love. * Old: The blood sacrifice of animals covered the sins of the children of Israel for one year, and the process had to be repeated every year. * New: The blood of Jesus has removed the sins - past, present, and future - of believers, completely and perfectly, once and for all. * Old: Obeying the Law could not and did not give the children of Israel the power to stop sin in their lives. The law has no power to make anyone holy, just and good. * New: Sin has no dominion over believers nor power, as the power of Jesus to overcome temptation kicks in when they are conscious that they are righteous in Christ apart from their works. * Old: The children of Israel were robbed of their confidence in the goodness of God because they were always looking at themselves to see how well or poorly they performed (ie. Self-Conscious) * New: Believers can have complete confidence and security in Christ because they are now looking to Jesus and not themselves. (ie. Christ-Conscious) * Old: The children of Israel could not have an intimate relationship with God because their righteousness put distance between them and God. * New: Believers can enjoy a close, intimate relationship with God as their Father because they are made righteous by faith in Jesus * Old: The children of Israel could not enter the holy of holies (where the presence of God was in the Temple). Only the high priest could, and that was only once a year, on the day of Atonement. * New: Not only can believers enter God's holy presence, they can also come boldly to His throne of grace to find mercy and grace in their time of need because of Jesus' perfect atonement. * Old: The children of Israel were under the ministry of death. * New: Believers are under the ministry of Jesus' abundant life.
